Njoro Resource Centre (NRC)
This is FAN's first resource centre. It was established in 2001
to serve the communities living adjacent to the Mau Forest together
with scholars and students from the nearby schools and institutions.
As earlier stated this is the only resource centre that FAN directly
manages. This resource centre apart from being an information hub in
the region it also runs two tree nurseries in Njoro and Nakuru
towns. These nurseries have a wide range of tree, herbs and flower
seedlings especially the much sought after Eucalyptus grandis
and the Giant Bamboo.

PCEA Ruguru Kabiruini Community Resource Centre
This resource centre was set up in July 2003 in Karatina. The
centre is hosted by the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA),
Ruguru Parish, and serves as a vocational center to empower the
local church members and communities as well as a centre for
information sharing and dissemination on issues relating to NRM, HIV
Aids, Agricultural, livestock and produce marketing extension
services. This resource centre was established to serve the
communities living adjacent to the Mt. Kenya Forest .

Webuye Resource Centre
This resource centre was established in January 2006. This is
among the new resource centres that FAN was mandated to establish
during its Strategic Planning exercise. This centre is situated in
Webuye town on the Webuye-Kitale main road. The centre was
established to serve the communities living in the Webuye region and
also the greater Western Province .

Kisii Resource Centre
This resource centre was established in January 2006. This is one
of the new resource centres that FAN has set up. This resource
centre is situated in Suneka town which is approximately 5
Kilometres from Kisii town. This centre was set up to serve the
communities living in Kisii Central but will also serve the greater
Kisii such as Nyamira and Gucha.

Kericho Resource Centre
This resource centre was established in January 2006. This is one
of the new resource centres that FAN has set up. This resource
centre is situated in Kakiptui town which is 3 Kilometres from
Kericho town. This centre was set up to serve the communities living
in Ainamoi area but the centre will also serve the greater Kericho
region such as Bureti and Bomet.

Kisumu Resource Centre
This resource centre was established in January 2006. This is
among the new resource centres that FAN has established. This
resource centre is situated in Dunga Beach which is approximately 7
Kilometres fro Kisumu City . This centre was set up to serve the
Kisumu City residents as well as the communities living in the Luo
Nyanza region.

Kwale Resource Centre
This centre was established in May 2006. This centre is located
in Kwale town at the gates of the Shimba Hills National Reserve
which is off the main Likoni – Diani road. Kwale town is
approximately 30 kilometres from Mombasa City . This centre was
established to serve the communities living around the Shimba Hills.

Isiolo Resource Centre
This centre was established in June 2006. It is located in the
outskirts of Isiolo town at the Desert Trail building. This centre
was established to serve the communities living in the greater
Isiolo region such as Archer's Post, Garba Tula, Tharaka, Meru and
Nanyuki.

Narok Resource Centre
FAN partnered with The Narok Environmental Group to set up the
Narok Resource Centre. The Narok Environmental Group is in the
process of restructuring its goals and objectives so as to serve the
local communities better. It will change its name to Narok
Environmental and Sustainable Development Network and it is in the
process of changing its status from a CBO to an NGO.

Koibatek Resource Centre
FAN partnered with Lembus Watershed Conservation Organization
(LEWASCO) to establish and run this center. LEWASCO was established
in 2003 and is based in Eldama Ravine in Koibatek District. The
group was registered with the department of culture & social
services in the ministry of Home Affairs & Natural Heritage.
LEWASCO is a membership organization and an umbrella body for all
the groups in the region ranging from women group, youth group and
farmers in general.
